A word from Alden:
“Everyone wants to make money, but what motivates me – in this business and life in general – can be summed up in one word: people. I’m what you call “neighborly.” I truly enjoy being around people and working with them, whether it’s helping a client develop a financial plan or staying active in the traditions and communities that make our city so unique. My philosophy as a financial advisor – which perfectly aligns with the team culture and ethos at Faubourg – revolves around a few simple, but very important ideas: Develop a plan. Be sensible and consistent. Don’t chase what doesn’t exist. And stick to your plan. I am proud that I’ve been able to retain clients since back in the 1980s. That tells me this simple philosophy works.”
Certified Divorce Financial Analysts (CDFA®) are trained to provide financial information and assistance to people going through a divorce. They evaluate the tax implications of dividing property and the financial impact of various settlement options for dividing marital property (including pensions) and child and spousal support payments.
Individuals who hold the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation have completed a course of study encompassing investments, insurance, tax, retirement, and estate planning issues. Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations. All designees have agreed to adhere to Standards of Professional Conduct and are subject to a disciplinary process. Designees renew their designation every two-years by completing 16 hours of continuing education, reaffirming adherence to the Standards of Professional Conduct and complying with self-disclosure requirements.
