Annie Shurtz joined the Faubourg team having recently moved back to New Orleans after living in Europe for three years. Annie graduated from Tulane University with her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management and a Master's in Accounting. She went on to be an Audit Associate with BDO in Houston, and then switched gears to IT Sales for Andela. She was eager to get back into the world of finance, and she now works directly with Tyson Vanlandingham’s clients to help facilitate client onboarding, account opening, and overall practice management. Annie plays an integral role in making sure clients have a seamless experience. She stands on the belief that the relationships we build should be built on trust. At the end of the day, if someone has your best interest in mind, they will do everything in their power to serve you the best way they can. That’s what motivates her work every day.

Born and raised in California, sports were the focal point for her family. Annie’s love continued as she played collegiate volleyball at Tulane, and she is still involved in a community league today. Before coming to New Orleans for school, Annie got her taste of the culture here because her mother grew up in the south. For her birthdays every year, Annie and her family would celebrate with King Cake. Annie has an older sister who is a data analyst in the Bay Area and a younger brother who works in marine biology in San Diego. While her immediate family is still in California, she has the comfort of home with her extended family residing on the north shore. When Annie is not in the office, she spends her time painting, and working out, and is an avid traveler.
